I could not sleep so I went wandering. My mind would
not stop thinking of the mountains, or the beauty of the
land spread out below. I just wandered and wandered,
one foot in front of the other, not even watching anything.

I started to feel cold, I looked up and discovered I was in
Alaska. As I looked up I noticed an old man standing
there staring at me. He carried a knife and piece of wood.
I could tell by his hands, the scent of his skin, he was a
carver, an artisian of sorts. He smiled at me and offered
to teach me his language and his ways. I told him that I
would like that very much. You never know when a word
or phrase will come in handy. So I spent hours with him
going over words and phrases, until he declared I had
learned the language very quickly, then he turned around
just as quickly and walked away carving as he walked.
*chuckle*

I took the chance to wander thru the lands, looking and
searching. I hoped maybe my parents had come thru
this land. But no matter where I looked I found nothing.
*sigh* I spoke with many in the lands. Traders, trappers
farmers, women of the villages, even a few children playing
in the paths and forests. But none had seen anything of my
parents. I will continue searching, and hoping. They are
out there somewhere, and I must find them. I must!
